Pwc Ghana’s Ayesha Bedwei Ibe joins Wahu Mobility as Board Chair.

Wahu Mobility, the e-bike manufacturer, has assembled a four-member board to help steer its vision of providing sustainable transportation in Africa. Ayesha Bedwei Ibe, PwC’s partner and global leader, will chair the board.

In general, board members appointed by companies provide strategic guidance, ensure governance and accountability, and support fundraising and growth. They advise founders on key decisions, help recruit executive talent, connect the company with investors and partners, and ensure the startup operates legally and ethically. Especially in early stages, they act as mentors, bringing experience and networks that strengthen the startup’s credibility and chances of success.

So who’s on Wahu’s board?

Ayesha Bedwei Ibe

Ayesha is a Tax Partner and Global Leader at PwC Ghana. She has deep expertise in finance, tax, and global leadership, combined with her strong government and energy sector network, which will be instrumental. She joins the board as an independent and pro bono director.

Geoff Barker 

Geoff is an Enterprise Strategy & Solutions Manager at Toyota Motor North America. He brings an extensive global network and unparalleled expertise in the e-mobility and logistics industry.  Geoff also joins as an independent and pro bono director.

Mandy Nyarko MBE 

Mandy is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor in Wahu Mobility. She is also the co-founder of Startup Discovery School and the Managing Partner at Sahara Impact Ventures. Her extensive experience scaling tech companies and fostering innovation in emerging markets, coupled with her focus on sustainability and climate change solutions, perfectly aligns with Wahu Mobility’s mission.

Chris Ehl

Chris is an independent investor and serial entrepreneur who specializes in digital businesses and AI, bringing vital strategic development expertise.
