QKnow Edtech has announced a strategic partnership with the University of Colorado’s PhET Interactive Simulations to enhance STEM education in Ghana. This collaboration aims to integrate PhET’s extensive library of virtual math and science simulations into QKnow’s platform, providing students and teachers with innovative tools for a more engaging learning experience.

PhET Interactive Simulations, established in 2002 by Nobel Laureate Carl Wieman at the University of Colorado Boulder, is a non-profit that creates free educational resources. With over 120 interactive simulations, PhET enables students to explore complex scientific concepts through dynamic visualizations and intuitive controls. These simulations cover various subjects, including physics, chemistry, biology, earth science, and mathematics, making them valuable resources for learners at all levels.

Senyo Jiagge-Mawuli, Co-founder and CEO of QKnow Edtech, expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential impact: “With this collaboration, we aim to serve 10,000 students from primary through university by 2025. We are proud to join a select group of African edtech startups partnering with PhET to provide innovative educational tools in our region.”

Founded in 2015, QKnow Edtech is a data-driven startup focused on democratizing education across Africa. The company is committed to delivering inclusive, practical, and interactive learning experiences for students and educators. Earlier this year, QKnow was selected for the inaugural cohort of the Mastercard Edtech Fellowship, highlighting its potential in the educational technology landscape.
