Nsano has announced the appointment of Priscilla Hazel as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a key leadership transition as Kofi Owusu-Nhyira steps down from the role. This change ushers in a new phase for the fintech leader as it continues to innovate and grow in Africa’s digital payments space.

From its beginnings in a small office at Busy Internet, Nsano has grown into a multinational fintech powerhouse. Under Kofi Owusu-Nhyira’s leadership, the company became profitable and expanded its footprint across Africa. Reflecting on this journey, Owusu-Nhyira expressed gratitude to the team, partners, and clients who have shaped Nsano’s success.

“As the company moves into its next phase, I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Priscilla Hazel as Nsano’s highest-serving executive,” said Owusu-Nhyira. “Her commitment to excellence, passion for fintech, and track record of results make her uniquely qualified to lead Nsano into the future.”

Priscilla Hazel, who has served in various capacities over seven years, including as Head of Commercial, has been instrumental in driving partnerships and extending Nsano’s reach across Africa. Her promotion to CEO reflects her leadership capabilities and is expected to instill confidence among stakeholders.

Kofi Owusu-Nhyira will remain closely connected to Nsano, offering guidance as the company embarks on this new chapter. “This transition is not the end of my journey with Nsano but a new beginning. I am confident that Priscilla will steer the company to even greater heights,” he added.

Priscilla Hazel’s appointment signals an exciting new era for Nsano as it continues to redefine digital payments across the continent.
